BitNami, it's about time

BitNami is the thing I was always looking for. It packages the server and the application(Drupal, Wordpress, phpBB etc.)
Well, I know how to set up Apache + PHP + MySQL... by using XAMPP. Sometimes I just want to test Redmine, but start configuring Ruby? I believe I got enough Stress on "am I suppose to download Ruby or Rails?"
Bitnami's nice installation package equals to extremely fast set up. Almost nothing have to be done except download and install. There is no way Bitnami can be easier.
Except allow us to create our own Linux distro (online with few clicks) bundles with the choice of http (or other kind of) server (Apache or Lighttpd), choice of database, choice of script language. It dynamically creates the package and we can download them or share them. It would be even better if they work with some computer manufacture like Dell, so the package comes installed on the server.

Hola Chao Xu,

Next year you will be able indeed to choose and pick and build your own stacks. we have been concentrating on PHP/Java initially, with Ruby and Python soon becoming more important. You will also be able to choose between Apache, nginx and lighttpd.

About Dell, that would be really nice, but it is not really up to us :)

Best regards

Daniel

Hey,
I've been reading your blog for quite some time now (~1 year), and really like it. I am getting started with a blog of my own and just applied to AdSense. I am wondering how you like it? About how much do you make per visitor?
See ya later,
Wobby.

This blog is earning so

This blog is earning so little money... it can't even cover the cost of the hosting...(hosting is $120 per 2 years)
from September 2006 to now... I only earned $57... that's like around 10 cents per day.
It's mostly not in your best interest to get adsense at the start of the blog, it would earn a little money with the low traffic, unless your site is amazinly targeted.
I have over all 46,744 visits, that's around 0.1 cent per visit.
But I love google adsense... nothing else out there is better for small blogz.

Cool, thanks for replying
