Is bux.to scam? Mathematical reasoning.

There are sites pay you to watch ads.
Let's pick bux.to(referral link, so I know how many people actually registered it after reading this) and see how likely it's a scam.

First, every business wants to make money. If bux.to is clearly not making any money, then it must be a scam, or the creator is stupid.

Here are some stats:
1. Every ad user see earns $0.01.
2. Every ad earns bux.to $0.0191.
3. Net profit $0.0091 for bux.to.
The minimal cash out is $50. Most people, will become impatient and leave.
So clearly it is making money. How strange...

Ok, let's turn to it's referral program.
1. Every person you refer click a ad, you earn 0.01 cents, so does he.
2. Net profit -$0.0009 for bux.to

There are some other programs bux.to makes money from. Like premium membership, and buy referrals from Bux.to. Clearly. bux.to will not offer them to you unless they earn more money with theses offers. But just to make this simple, rule out these.

Formula:
N = net profit in 100th of a cent
u = amount of clicks by user who are not referred by anyone.
r = amount of clicks by referred users
p = fraction of clicks never become check because $50 is such a high number, assume p is evenly distributed, so it should be the same for r and u.

N = 191p(u+r) + 91u(1-p) - 9r(1-p)
Simplifies to
N = (-9 + 200 p) r + (91 + 100 p) u
As long as 4.5% of all clicks is not cashed, bux.to have a net profit.
Even if 0% of all clicks is not cashed, r is 10 times larger than u, bux.to still have a net profit.
So, this model explains bux.to can have net profit.
Then why are there many people complaining they never receive check from bux.to?

NON-MATHEMATICAL REASONING starts here.
Since bux.to does pay some(but not all) people, but many days after the request to be paid. I think it's because bux.to overestimated the amount of clicks that will not be cashed, and gone ahead used all the money they earned until someone start to request money from them.

Or, also likely, bux.to just don't want to give people money and it is intended to be a scam.

IMO, you are earning 60*2*0.01 = $1.2 per hour if there is that much ad for you to click on. I think you can do a lot of other things with that time.

bux.to own ads

Hi,

as you stated : 2. Every ad earns bux.to $0.0191.
It's true if, and only if, ad in question is from external adviser who pay for it. I try now Bux.to as ordinary member. Bux.to shows me 30+ ads daily, but roughly 25+ of them are bux.to own ads! (buy premium membership, buy unreferred members, wow, I got money from Bux.to, and so on) For that ads nobody pay to Bux.to. So who pay all this money bux.to distributes (with long long delays)?
It's elementary, Dr. Watson! These money comes from bux.to members, who invest (so speak) for unreferred members, premium membership and things like this. As far as new members pay, some of old members can got money. Have you ever heard about 'Ponzi' scheme?

Bux.to = SCAM

Bux.to is nothing more than a SCAM. I requested Payment on April 22, 2008 for $600, as a Premium Member on their Payoneer Bux.to card. As of this date May 6, 2009, I still have not received ANY PAYMENT... I invested a lot of money believing that this site was honorable, but it is nothing more than a bunch of con-artist running a scam and ripping people off. I advise anyone that is considering this to stay away from Bux.to, and if you decide to try it any way than its your loss. BUX.TO = SCAM

Still Nothing

Here I am again June 24, 2009, and as I said earlier on May 6 that I had not been paid after making a request April 22, 2008. Well still NOTHING from the FU(KING THIEVES at Bux.to. If you put anything into this site then you are just asking to get FU(KED. Stay away from them, and warn anyone else to stay away from them.

Ask this guy why it went under!

No wonder some of these companies cannot pay out their people when idiots like you rip them of. You are just as much a criminal as they seem to be and should be put in the same jail cell.

bux.to is a Ponzi Scheme

Bux.to is a Ponzi scheme, hiding behind a small business model that means it gets out through a loophole of being directly labelled a Ponzi Scheme. I've been warned about saying this, I've been banned repeatedly from their idiotic blind-leading-the-blind forums for saying that Bux.to is a Ponzi scheme.

For 17 months I have waited for payment, 17 months, after being ripped off repeatedly by their promises that Premium members get paid within 30 business working days.
Ask yourself what kind of a service is that? If Bux.to were a highstreet shop it would have been burned to the ground in protest and it's owners put in jail, it's a sign of the times that a fraudulent business such as Bux.to can continue to do business through the internet unpoliced, it's a complete disgrace that this kind of thing is allowed to continue.

If you complain to Bux.to staff, who, aren't really staff, they are buffoons who continue to support a fraudulent website you will be told that you payment is in a queue, but nobody has access to the queue so cannot tell you where in the queue you are...

The Bux.to payment queue is a complete lie, by nature a queue has a beginning and end, a start and finish. You have no position in any queue otherwise you would get an ID number, you are simply being lied to.

The actual Bux.to payment system involves shooting all payment requests out of a circus-cannon while a trained ape catches them, banging it's fists onto a keyboard the ape randomly and occasionally inputs a users name, a printed piece of paper with the users name is then stuck to the apes arse for a few days, this is called 'checking to see if they are a cheater'. If the paper falls off, you're a cheater. Providing your name stays stuck with sufficient shit to the arse of an ape for approx 'infinite' days you will receive your payment minus charges for ape rental.

Yes, the above is true, Bux.to staff will deny it, but they are single cell organisms who support fraud, it's a shame because one or two of them WERE nice people. Still, they will all be one the wrong side of the fence when the law comes knocking and I wouldn't help any of them.

Bux.to forum is a fascist forum printing only good news about Bux.to keeping things as rosey as possible. Any negative comments are deleted or threads locked, you can really see the desperation of people trying in vain to get their crummy dollars back.
Telling Bux.to staff their kids have cancer, or their parents have died in a plane crash. It's saddening that Bux.to stands there with the weight of such human misery and remains stoic that "your payment is in our imaginary queuing system, please feel free to read the success stories of people who requested their payment only a few minutes ago and got paid - see, Bux.to is legit" ...That's got to take some serious ****ing balls to stand there and say that through your greedy little keyboards while people are clearly distressed that they have lost hundreds of dollars through your fraudulent website.

Bux.to is a PONZI SCHEME - WHICH IS ILLEGAL. Hiding behind a flimsy business model of clicking pathetic ads is a loophole that keeps these con artists from being truly exposed.

Bux = SCAM

I was working on Bux before, generated $60+ but I never got paid. But this other one that I tried is promising. The founders have a good reputation on the internet, and their group has grown to 50,000 in just a few weeks. It's still on soft launch stage but all clicks will already be credited to your account. I can imagine how this will create a bang when finally launched in the coming days. So the early you register, the better. One can earn as much as $43,000 in 30-90 days. bux.to is a scam, I invested

bux.to is a scam, I invested hundreds of dollars and I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING! I have been waiting for 2 years(TWO YEARS = 730 days = 7 3 0 d a y s).
They pay, but only to 1% of members to put "proof of payments" on their website.
One day they will just cancel the whole website and forum, like other buxes had done before.

Tell me why when they cheat you on the internet you can't do anything? Why just can't I call the police and get my money back? When you do something against their TOS, they ban you. When they do something against TOS(like not paying after 2 years of waiting) you can't do ANYTHING to them.
